Halloween Donald Duck Transformers Toy

Last year, I posted about the Transformers X Mickey Mouse Halloween toy, this year Donald Duck gets the evil treatment! As cheesy as it may sound, it's a pretty well crafted toy by Takara and will be available from HERE as a pre-order.

Mojibakeru Transformer Kanji Animals

"Japanese toy giant Bandai is set to release a series of nifty kanji figures that transform into the shapes of the animals they represent. The shape-shifting critters, called Mojibakeru (moji means “character” and bakeru means “to change”), come in six varieties — 犬 (dog), 虎 (tiger), 魚 (fish), 馬 (horse), 鳥 (bird) and 竜 (dragon) — and are available in black, white, yellow and blue."

Final Fantasy 13 Kai Shiva Toys

The designers at the Square Enix offices are my new heroes. I mean, Robot chicks that transform into motorbikes that the main character of inal Fantasy XII can ride....WTF?? Amazing...and when standing, the girl figures are 40cm tall and when transformed into the motorbikes, they end up totalling a massive length of 53cm!! Time to make some new space on the shelves!

Available to buy HERE with a 20% Discount!

Thomas The Tank Engine Robot

The pics say it all really. Put Thomas, James & Gordon Trains together and you get a transforming robot series. It was available on EBay for a ridiculously cheap price of 10 Singaporean Dollars (4 GBP)! I have messaged the EBayer to ask for more robots!

Halloween Transformers Mickey Mouse

If you remember, I did a post on a Transformers & Disney collab, featuring a badass Mickey Mouse Truck. Well, in true corporate style, they are going to milk the label for as long as possible. This is their 'Halloween' version of the toy. I bet we will be seeing an Xmas version soon too...(Available from Japan's 7-11 website for approx. £25)

Wacko & robot transformations seemed like a good look for the blog. I remember as a kid seeing this in 3D in Disneyland and being blown away....and that was 20 years ago!

Mickey Mouse X Transformers

Wow! Another slightly retarded crossover project involving a Disney character and some other 'cool' brand. Retarded as it may be, I'm still a fan of its weirdness! Apparently, for Tomy Takara's 25th Anniversary, they decided to team up with legendary character Mickey Mouse to do a special collab toy which is set to be released feb 2009 for approx $45 USD! (Look out for the limited grey edition too)

This would be a sick Transformer that would kick the arse of any other bot on the planet. The Tumbler from Batman Begins gets a mecha remix in this image.

Real Transformers

These Vids bought a smile to my face because they made me realise how influential the original Transformers cartoons from the 80's must have been! It is crazy to think that in the last 20-30 years the kids that grew up watching the cartoons are now making these robots a reality!

It was amazing-enough to witness what these machines may eventually look like in the recent Transformers Feature film, which stunned us with its detail and mind-boggling animation...but to see any form of working real-life transformer takes everything to a whole new level.

A recent article on MSN cited that AI technology would soon surpass the capabilities of man..perhaps in the next 20 years. Couple this with a further 20 years of enhancing these small transformer robots and we could be looking at a world with Transformers sooner than we think!
